NL MUSIC REVIEW: Olamide’s New Song “Owo Shayo” – Another Street Anthem Or An Absolute Trash?

Again oo!! YBNL boss is all out on the street again with another groovy joint capable of shaking the street and he titled this one “Owo Shayo“.
The song is currently enjoying massive downloads on Naijaloaded with 759, 372 downloads so far while comments count is reading towards 400 comments.
As produced by Pheelz, Owo Shayo is another reflection of Olamide’s lyrical prowess when it comes to doing songs for the street.

Gbedu Wo le Kan le! Olamide wouldn’t have killed this track if not for his ability to rap and sing. “Owo Shayo” is complete package of Olamide’s music skills and he served it all out hot.
Personally, I think this song does not sound like it’s going to stand the test of time, not to talk of becoming a street anthem. You want to ask me why? Yes! Pheelz was too monotonous with the beat.
Overall, the song will get 6/10 rating from me.
At this point, it’s pretty clear that Olamide is allergic to taking breaks.
So far this year, Olamide has given us “Science Student“, “Sheevita Juice“, “Omo Ologo“, “C. Ronaldo” and now “Owo Shayo” — which feels like a record, even for him.
Granted, not all the songs have been great, but he’s definitely on a much better creative streak than we’ve seen from him in a while. 6/10 is enough rating.

Despite the controversies around his first track of the year “Science Student”, Olamide still shows he can be creative with street oriented songs without offending the sensibilities of some “Over Sabi” Nigerians.
Owo shayo is another shaku shaku tune that will entertain the street. The jam is just there.
Who else noticed Lil Kesh’s outro on the song? He actually killed it. Again oh, again oh Gbese! S’ese n dun e ni?
I will rate this song 5/10
